Our current record is 8 different Otters in one day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rocky coasts of Skye are an ideal habitat for Otters, the seaweed beds holding a plentiful supply of fish. Otters can be found on Skye\u2019s rivers and inland lochs as well, although they are a little harder to see in these locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As with all wildlife, patience is required to spot these beautiful mammals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-service-description wp-block-paragraph\">The tides, weather, and sadly an understanding of human disturbance, are all factors in trying to locate the shy Otter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-global-padding is-content-justification-center is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40)\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide are-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f56f613f wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center has-global-padding is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-column-is-layout-8ee2dafc wp-block-column-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Isle of Skye has Scotland\u2019s biggest population of White-tailed Sea Eagles, with numbers still growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although often assumed to be a \u201ccoastal\u201d bird, their scavenging nature regularly takes them inland, and we see them all over the island. To be successful seeing a Golden Eagle requires knowledge of the bird\u2019s habitat and habits, an ability to read the weather conditions, a lot of patience, and a little luck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I write this we\u2019ve seen 36 Golden Eagles on the last 7 Tours, and the most Golden Eagles we\u2019ve seen in a single day is 10. &nbsp;Our overall success rate is 98% with only a couple of days each year we fail to spot one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-service-description wp-block-paragraph\">So whether you are a keen birder on a dedicated birdwatching holiday, or a wildlife enthusiast who\u2019d just love to see Scotland\u2019s iconic bird of prey, then the Isle of Skye is without doubt the best place in Scotland to see a Golden Eagle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On our Tours we\u2019ve got an excellent record of spotting Otters,&nbsp;with a 95% success rate.
